Boardwalk along Liberty Bay
As you listen to the sounds of seagulls and perhaps catch a glimpse of a seal playing in the water just off shore, breathe in the fresh marine air, observe animals still abundant in this protected bay and experience the awe of the snow capped Olympic Mountains in the distance.

Canoe and Kayak trips and rentals
You can rent electric boats and kayaks by the hour, half or full day for exploration of Liberty Bay through Northwest Electric Boat Rentals in historic downtown Poulsbo.

Parks
The many beautiful parks within a few miles of Poulsbo offer spectacular scenery. In addition, these parks provide a wide variety of opportunities for visitors of all ages. Spend an afternoon picnicking and beachcombing on one of the waterfront parks. Spend some time relaxing or playing with family and friends or bring a good book to experience the restful solitude of majestic views and sounds of the area.

Day Trips
Poulsbo’s central location on the Kitsap Peninsula makes it a natural starting point for day trips to the Olympic Peninsula and other parts of Puget Sound. Within a couple of hours driving time from Poulsbo, you can be in the midst of the Olympic National Park, golfing on a world class course, touring historic Victorian mansions, viewing ancient glacial mountains and rivers, learning more about Native American heritage and culture and much more!

Here are some suggestions for day trips:
Bicycling - country roads invite bicyclers each weekend and North Kitsap is the site of two annual bicycling events, stop into the Chamber office for a map of bicycling trails in the area.

Fishing -
boat launches to Puget Sound and Hood Canal are at Salsbury Point, Poulsbo Marina, Suquamish and Silverdale. Try your hand at fishing at Hood Canal Floating Bridge fishing dock, Buck Lake and Wildcat Lake.

Golf -
Visitors have choices of numerous first-class courses within an hour’s drive of Poulsbo: Gold Mountain, Rolling Hills, Village Greens, McCormick Woods, Port Ludlow, Dungeness, Chevy Chase, Port Townsend, Meadowmeer, Horseshoe Lake, Trophy Lake, Woodall’s Driving Range, Northwest Golf Range and Pro Shop.

Hiking - Enjoy the view from the Nature Conservancy Park in Hansville or take a peaceful stroll on the nature trails at Nike Site Day Park in Kingston or Raab Park in Poulsbo.

Gambling - Just outside of town near the Agate Pass bridge is the Clearwater Casino. They have excellent food, live music, and great gaming tables for you to enjoy. They also have a shuttle which will pick you up at the Ferry or the Marina.
